Due to a couple of members expressing they had received bites while sleeping at the club towards the end of the season. The Committee has had the bunkroom treated for any infestation that may have been present ( if any ). All members bedding has been brought back to Whakatane. If you had any bedding up there that was possibly not named could you please contact Bill or Julie Dippie so we can insure you get it back. We ask that all bedding is laundered before being returned to the club next season.
Any unclaimed bedding as of January 31 2018 will be taken care of.
If you have any questions please contact me.

As you may already know, Walter Haensli passed away earlier this year.
Walter was an instructor at Whakapapa for 1949 – 51. During his time here is completely upgraded the ski school, ski hire and shop. He then co-founded Ruapehu Alone Lifts and his name lives on at the Haensli Face ski slope and the Haensli Cups he donated to Ruapehu Ski Club. RSC and RAL would like to acknowledge and celebrate Walter’s achievements in helping make Whakapapa the ski field it is today.
Please find attached an invitation to your and your club members to join RSC and RAL in a celebration of Walter’s life.
Can you please distribute this flyer to your members as you see fit?
I would appreciate any RSVP’s to this email address so I can get an idea of numbers.
Thank you and I hope to see you all there

Last working party before the 2016 season
Friday evening 20 May (whenever you get there) to Sunday 22 May lunchtime-ish
The incredible amount of work that has been done over the last three work parties needs to be tidied up and finished off (see the attached photos)
We are looking for current member volunteers, kids of current members, anyone really that can lend a hand! More importantly we are looking for NEW MEMBERS…… Bring along your mates and get in to one of the best clubs on the mountain.
Anyone wanting to attend can contact Craig on firstname.lastname@example.org
Phone 07 3124653 or Mobile 0275541465

Currently we have 11 people for the work party next weekend, thanks to those who have put their hands up. However it would make the working party go quicker/faster/easier if there were another half dozen volunteers out there willing to help.
Friday 29 April – whenever you get there, to Sunday 30 April lunchtime ish.
Please contact Craig on email@example.com
Phone 07 312 4653 or Mobile 027 554 1465
To carry on from the last message two more working parties are planned before the new season starts! So far there is nobody booked so please make a commitment to attend at least one of these. The hardest and biggest of the urgent jobs has been done – see the attached photographs.
April 30th/May 1st (Friday night, whenever you get there – until Sunday lunch)
May 21st/22nd (Friday night, whenever you get there – until Sunday lunch)
If you, your family, your friends, or any new members out there wish to attend please contact Craig on 3124653 or Mieke on 3070670. You can also reply to this email and we will sort from there.
Our club won’t survive without the hard working party members – so if you can please book the date in.
Attached are a couple of photos demonstrating the huge effort of removing all the rocks alongside the club; basically from the kitchen floor downwards, and then waterproof painting/coating. Massive job… thanks to everyone who help. Very much appreciated.

We have had limited success so far with volunteers for this working party – only seven that can definitely attend. Two of these are those that attended the last party. We urgently need at least eight MORE.
Also, is there someone that can come with a large trailer?
The working party is not only for existing members to step-up but this is a great opportunity for new members to join a family friendly club. Please use your own networking skills to see if you can encourage new members to join. We would love to have them.
Forward this message on to as many people as you can.

WOW a serious amount of digging, lifting, moving, and hoisting HUGE rocks went on at the last work party – removing everything from the wall against the kitchen (downwards) so that it can be resealed. A massive thank you to all those that helped. However – the job was left unfinished ….this is where we NEED you. The remainder of this wall needs to be dug, cleaned and then coated twice with a sealant. This needs to be finished before the weather gets any cooler.
So for the next working party we require 4 volunteers who would be prepared to work Friday 18th March (and maybe leave sometime Saturday or Sunday). This will be followed by a regular work party group arriving as normal to work the Saturday and Sunday (up to 12 would be ideal).
These working parties are not only for new members to attend but for existing members to help out at. Remember existing members get a wee discount off their fees……. While you are at it bring a mate, a potential new member, some extra family…anyone who is willing to give a hand.
The club is always looking for new members. New members can contact Mieke at firstname.lastname@example.org, or, you can register to help with the working party by contacting Craig Rowe preferably by Sunday 13th March.

Please forward on this message to all your Whakapapa Mountain Club mates (and beyond) as I think that we have some gaps in our email address list. If we don’t have all the addresses we aren’t reaching everyone. Let me know if I can add a few more on to the email list. Of course also let me know if you want to be removed.

We are a whole lot of people short of the amount we need for our next working party – Please consider coming along to help.
The main tasks will be to waterproof the basement block walls inside and out, seal the top of the water tanks plus general maintenance on the hut.
To achieve all this work it would be good if we can get at least 20 people attending.
People can register their work party attendance with Craig at the following contacts preferably by Sunday 14th Feb – email@example.com Phone 027 5541465 or 07 3124653
Remember all attendees receive discount on their annual subs
